I want the San Gabriel Valley to be the home of the most effective veteran’s health services in the nation–including mental wellness.
— Vicky Martinez

From WWII to Afghanistan, San Gabriel Valley residents have a proud tradition of serving our nation. Today, the same people who fought for our freedom abroad are battling the dual crises of PTSD and homelessness here at home.

VICKY'S PLAN FOR OUR VETERANS

Provide mental health recovery services, including PTSD, using the full extent of government resources including state and local resources.

Conduct a statewide audit of PTSD/TBI levels among California’s more than two million vets.

Work with landlords and local veterans' groups to ensure Veteran Section 8 vouchers are fully used.

Hold state-sponsored housing and health care training to assist our veterans.

Sponsor a state resolution to call for PTSD Awareness Week.
